With The Bar Mitzvah Prep program, the boys you prepare can take lessons anywhere, anytime – while maintaining an
ongoing relationship with you!
As a Shliach, I am often distracted by the many responsibilities I carry. When a boy shows up to his Bar Mitzvah lesson, it can be challenging to remember what I have already covered – and to keep him engaged in the learning process.
In the past, I have also struggled with the best way to help parents who live too far away for their sons to attend weekly lessons. (And I’ve also struggled with keeping the local parents engaged in the learning process!)
Then there are the families who show up three months prior to their sons Bar Mitzvah, expecting me to provide a service with no commitment on their side to have an engaged experience.
I created The Bar Mitzvah Prep School to address these challenges.
20 video lessons on Jewish fundamentals (see list)

A big part of why my lessons are so different from other options is that I’m not just reciting concepts and dogma. I spotlight the “why” behind those concepts – explaining how key aspects of Yiddishkeit are relevant today – and why it matters and makes a difference in our lives. My primary aim is to spark “AH HA” moments – for both sons and parents.

“I’ve been using the Bar Mitzvah Prep School videos and accompanying workbook with my Bar Mitzvah class. It saves preparation time while fundamental ideas are taught in a very relevant way. The videos are very professional, stimulating, and keeps the kids engaged. This is well worth the investment!”
- Rabbi Yossi Harlig
Chabad of Kendall
BH, it's amazing! It really is perfect for this boy and his father. It was a real life saver since it was my first Bar Mitzvah class with a boy who needed some excitement and knowledge going into his Bar Mitzvah.
- Rabbi Shneur Gansburg
Chabad of Coconut Creek
"I love, love, love your video and curriculum. [When watching the first lesson] The Bar Mitzvah boys eyes lit up. The mother was thrilled. She was originally hocking about his gymnastics and said I'm going to change the schedule. We're going to be here every week."
- Rabbi Sholom Shmerling
Chabad of Venice
“One father has issues with orthodox Jews. Having him watch the videos with his son has been great for both him and his son. Another boy is on the spectrum. I watch each video with him. It's been working really well!"
- Rabbi Bentzy Stolik
Chabad of Olney
“I’m using this with a Bar Mitzvah boy. The classes are fantastic. Great content, presentation and cool for today's kids. Why should I reinvent the wheel?”
- Rabbi Efraim Zaltzman
Chabad of Kingsborough
“I enjoyed learning more about Judaism and how its teachings and traditions can help guide me in my relationships and life choices. I appreciated the ability to watch the lessons on my own time, so that I could watch when I felt relaxed and able to focus. The ability to rewatch lessons was also engaging, because it allowed us time to discuss the concepts from every lesson.”
